Willem Dafoe at World Premiere of "Nosferatu" in Berlin

Berlin (dpa) – Hollywood stars Willem Dafoe, Emma Corrin, and Nicholas Hoult attended the world premiere of the horror film "Nosferatu - The Undead" in Berlin. Fellow actors Bill Skarsgård ("It") and Aaron Taylor-Johnson ("Nocturnal Animals") also walked the red carpet in front of the Zoo Palast.

The vampire film, directed by Robert Eggers ("The Northman," "The Witch"), is a remake of the legendary 1922 silent film classic "Nosferatu – A Symphony of Horror" by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau. In Eggers' dark reinterpretation, newlywed Ellen Hutter (played by Lily-Rose Depp) takes center stage. She is haunted by the deceased Count Orlok (Skarsgård), the vampire Nosferatu.

Fatal Obsession
A passionate yet fatal obsession develops between the young woman and the vampire from Transylvania, pushing an entire town to the brink of disaster. Hoult ("About a Boy," "The Menu") plays Ellen’s husband Thomas, while Corrin ("The Crown") portrays her friend Anna Harding.

The film will be released in German theaters on January 2. Admission is restricted to viewers aged 16 and older.
